Shore Road/relief road?

Is there any truth in the rumour that had the Swanage Council closed the whole of Shore Road for the summer then there would have been funding provided by the County Council for a relief road from Herston to Ulwell?

    Never heard this one. Certainly never been mentioned at any Council meetings.

    Now, c'mon Mike. Mebbie it's a secret but, Washpond, Brick then Darkies Lane.
    Watch out for:
    Cyclists
    Walkers
    Cars
    The occasional lorry
    Leaves
    Ghosts
    Mud on road
    Lack of smooth tarmac
    Oh, and it's a sort of unnofficial one-way.
