Can I mention Bewise in this thread too? I emailed them (owned by QS) when i was having a bored moment, and asked them when/if they were coming back to their former site next to boots. They replied that they currntly have no plans to open a shop in Swanage, sorry. I MISS THEM. Anyone any ideas on what will be in its place when (if) it ever gets rebuilt?
Yes of course people care! It's looking like a ghost town re shops at the moment in Swanage. Someone should do as they've done in Dorchester and re open Woolworths as 'Wellworths', selling the same stuff. Brilliant.
No idea at all!
ReplyDeleteAccording to the rumour mill a firm that will be good for Swanage are current;y negotiating with the owners.
Seems the rent used to be circa £20K, but the owners are after considerbly more.

The rumour I heard today was a pound shop. This is not exactly something that will be good for the town. More cheap tat.
ReplyDeleteReally does anyone care anymore.
