An urgent request. What would be the quickest and most reliable way to get an urgent message out to the community of Purbeck? Is there a formal procedure ?
You could start here. Others will pick it up. But the formal approach is via the various Councils: Town, District and County will all have procedures, according to importance. And perhaps the Police.
If there was an important and urgent, immediate issue to be discussed between councillors and community and an urgent meeting needed to be called how could it be done? Problem with Gazette (monthly), Advertiser (not all read it and not all get it), posters (would not be seen by all)? Hairdresser, good idea, but not necessarily reliable. Councils- same problem.
