I did; they said they could not repond to that question. Their van sign did not undertake the sort of work they do (beyond construction). It wasn't Wessex Water or Southern Electric or DCC. All Official Secrets secrecy stuff - so it seems! Maybe it is to do with high speed fibre coming our way - or Virgin cable??
The conduit being laid down looked more connected with an electrical than gaseous or liquid purpose. Perhaps a FOI request to GCHQ is in order!!?? Or Richard Branson??

Walk past, smell the gas, read the yellow pipes with 'gas' printed on them...........must be fibre optic network [not].
