The Good Food Guide 2009

Once again the restaurants in the UK have been reviewed Which?
You have to travel 20+ miles from Swanage to find a restaurant which gets even the entry level of 1 out of 10: “capable cooking, with simple food combinations and clear flavours”.
The whole of Dorset gets 9 mentions. There are twice as many in Mayfair alone. Cornwall gets 28. That’s a good reason to favour Cornwall for your holidays if you are a rich Londoner.

Planners all on holiday?

What is going on at PDC planning office? You are not able to discuss an application with a planning officer until October (because they say they have a backlog). Well I would observe there appear far less applications being made this summer than usual. Planning applications which are supposed to be over in 8 weeks are taking 16 weeks. Some planning applications online details on the PDC website have not been updated since May.
