There's an interesting window display at the Kings Bar (near the library). The posters for all 16 venues are on display. It's worth a look just to see the scope of this event.
Sunny weather and some great music brought around 100 people to the Red Lion garden for the start of the Swanage Blues & Roots Festival this afternoon (Friday). There will be Open Mic sessions with members of the public and professional musicians at the Red Lion every afternoon over the weekend. This evening (Friday) there are 12 pubs, hotels and restaurants taking part, 11 in Swanage and 1 in Corfe Castle, with a choice of 7 bands and 6 solos/duos. Full details can be seen at the festival website www.bluesroots.org
