¨This final part of the process, consulting on the draft began at the beginning of January and was promoted to local residents through media releases and About Purbeck again¨.
Must be my fault then.
Thanks to the PDC employee for such a prompt response.
It was pointed out to me after schools campaigners successfully got PDC to criticise DCC for a poor consultation.
Ho and indeed Hum.
All consultations should be publicised by posters in shop windows, I think. It doesn't cost much to walk around with some photocopied posters and to ask nicely - if we can get a huge response for a jumble sale or a summer fete doing this, it would work just fine for a consultation!
Just sending out press releases and putting it in one magazine doesn't really cut it - sorry!
Damn, and sorry.
ReplyDeleteThis has disappeared from PDC´s website, so I guess that it´s gone past it´s ´by date´.
I´ve emailed them my response and am waiting to see if I get a reply.
Was this Consultation publicised anywhere other than on the website?
Closing date turns out to 28-2-09.

I missed it too.
