Is there any news about how the affordable housing is getting on at Worth?? The last thing reported was that there was so much beaurocracy to overcome that the process was slowing down to a gringing halt.
In the meantime planning consent was given for holdiay housing down the road. The conversion was completed and the houses have, and despite the graffiti, apparently these houses have now been sold. No one lives in them they have no gardens, no south facing windows, they are not in keeping with the AONB (but this is an ambiguous statement anyway), what is not ambiguous, is, they have partially sunken oil tanks and that they have been bought as holiday homes and have not benefited the community of Worth one little bit!
By providing purpose built holiday accommodation demand for family houses (which can be used as holiday houses) is reduced. This is likely to reduce the market price of such houses and so make it easier for local people to buy houses.
