It is a pity that the works do not seem to have been done in a fashion so that this would not happen! Older generations did. This area is important to the Town's image and needs to be properly refurbished as soon as possible, otherwise more damage will result. All of the slipway and this section should be reconstituted appropriately with some haste.
Hmm ....when I posted the photo I thought this was a sad consequence of the storms. Now nearly a couple of months later, perhaps it moves into a 'bad' category, reflecting poorly on Swanage's image. How many people will see this over Christmas and New Year? But I suppose the thought now will be to leave it to the Spring, to impress the tourists. What about doing it soon, for the benefit of people who live here?
