Is it possible to modify this blog spot or move to another that indicates when there is a unread post? It takes too long to scan through. God knows how long it takes without broadband! -- Posted by Anonymous to swanage view at 6/21/2005 07:18:15 PM
I quite agree that it would be good to have an alert system or another way of identifying new comments or posts. I'm looking into it. Meanwhile, if any smart technophiles out there can resolve this, I'm sure everyone would be grateful. As would the blogger.com people. I looked at their information pages and couldn't find the answer: there was something about amending the code to insert cookies, but it defeated me, and I don't want to destroy everything. I have written to them, so perhaps something will turn up.
The host of a blog can choose to have email alerts for new comments, which I get. If anyone wishes to give me their email address, I can forward all new comment alerts to you. Not the best solution, but all I can offer right now. Send your details to me at: mail@mikehadley.net
