For a start, people who were teenagers then are still singing
"We're all going on a Summer Holiday"
(and I dare anybody to try to read that without the tune going through their head!).
And, if you go to a karaoke you'll find that a lot of the youngsters are singing it too!
But there were plenty of drug-crazed stars years ago too.
Look at all those old jazzers, Charlie Parker, Gene Krupa etc; many film stars were permanently drugged too; and if you want to go back a bit further, you'll get me started on the Opium Poets!
