Unique Marketing Point?

"Swanage, Dorset, is a small British seaside town which has, like most British seaside towns seen better days, but in Swanage they make a feature of their past."

Yes, well, to start with they thought the Pierhead Cafe was a cinema. Almost understandable given the art deco style of the place but you would think the penny would have dropped when they saw the repro of Hopper's Nighthawks painted on the wall. That said a decently restored are deco building would be something of an attraction. The pavilion along the coast in Sussex that was done up a few years ago got a lot of attention when it was reopened.

hmmm - I thought there was a hint of irony in the painting?

True. It was the De La Warr pavilion at Bexhill I had in mind, but I was struggling to remember the name. Anyway both the Swanage cinemas are now the Somerfield supermarket.
