Parish Assembly 6 May
The annual Parish Assembly will be held on Wednesday 6th May at the Bayview Caravan Park at 7pm. This meeting, open to all residents of Swanage, is a forum to raise and debate any issues of concern or interest. A key point to note is that there is no time limit for 'public participation', as at normal council meetings. Also, if a vote is taken to address a particular issue, the council must then debate the matter at an early subsequent meeting.

This is interesting. It could be an ideal forum for some lively debate on the future school provision in Dorset. It would be useful to know what opinions, if any, the councillors have on this important topic and so near the election too.
Hmmmm.....precept up 37%...... .....schools may be closed.....buildings owned by the Town are crumbling.....Swanage Bay View Park being flogged off at the depth of the worst recession in 79 years.......serious challenges by the District Auditor and Dorset Trading Standards.....unusual sums being spent by the Town Council on unexplained legal expenses.............rumours of nepotism in the air.....
Who wouldn't want to come to air their views and see what is going on in this town and with the Town Council?? And the view is infinitely better from the Vista than the Town Hall!!

Well me because we're off to Poole for a BSO concert so will someone please post up the interesting bits.
The most interesting comment from the council was 'To do nothing is not an option'.
So maybe in 2009 we will see lots of action.
Cllr Mike Hadley proposed an early draught copy of the minutes..just in case we have forgotten by next year. This would be helpful. Are you able to post a link here.
It will be interesting to see what was recorded whilst it is fresh in our minds. The challenge is on. How quick can you be??
