Traffic

Traffic right of way in town centre

Does anyone else think there needs to be clearer give way signs and road markings from Rempstone Road into Station Road.

Yet again today someone pushing their way in from Rempstone road nearly hit a car which had right of way coming from Kings Road as they drove into Station road without bothering to slow down as they failed to give way!

The other place where people dont give way is in the square where traffic coming up the high street dosnt bother to stop to give way to traffic coming round from insitute road.

Perhaps a 20 mph speed limit in these areas would be useful. Also in front of all schools when children are coming or going at the start or end of schoolday.

At the roundabout junction of Rempstone Road into Station Road most drivers realise the situation is hopeless so sensibly filter in turn so avoiding gridlock in Rempstone Road/Victoria Avenue. Please someone get Church Hill reversed.
