You can see proposals for the proposed Household Recycling Centre at Prospect Business Park this Friday and Saturday morning (6th/7th Nov) at Swanage Town Hall.
Visited Recyling expo at back of Town Hall. Glad to hear new facility will be 'drop-down', so no climbing steps with heavy loads. Also see they have a 'sales area' and I was told they plan to keep this 'popular' service. I asked if they would consider providing facility for other recyclables, such as mobiles, ink cartridges, and for tools to be re-used...watch and wait..
This sounds positive. I was about to post a concern, to ask whether all the present facilies would continue. So good to see someone else is on the case. It would be great if it could be expanded to include all recyclables. Could a skip be provided for wood, reusable wood and scrap wood. So many good building materials go to waste. Are we able to somehow overcome the problem of not being able to bring trucks (work vehicles, it sometimes is a crazy situation in that many people are self employed and have a working vehicle such as a truck but are not allowed to use if for one trip, so many trips have to be made for the same rubbish to be trasported by car.
Could there be an undercover area to protect items for sale.
