What's happening at the Vista (sorry, Bayview) Caravan Park? Seems more going on than just closing the restaurant for the winter.
Appparently...
- 12 people sacked yesterday (not just restaurant staff)
- the swimming pool is apparently to close evenings and weekends
If things are as bad as this, why did the Council not say something when the subject was raised in public participation time at last night's meeting?

We couldnt have the council saying the truth about things that they have messed up!, what ever next, a politician doing the same :)
They knew things were amiss before the start of the summer because they were paying for huge adverts in the local paper.
What twerp thought of putting that retaurant there anyway? Did they try and find out who uses the park? I can't think of anyone (and I know hundreds in Swanage ) who would go to eat at the "Muni". A restaurant on it's own needs to be amazing to get people to eat if there's nothing else to encourage them. Great views maybe, but that can only work in daytime. Try looking out of the windows at night and all you'll see is your own reflection. The instigator's original intention perhaps to reflect back their shining intellect? I'm just sorry that so many people's lives have been messed around (12 sacked!) for the grandiose dreams of our supposed representatives. Sack them NOW!

To be fair, not all councillors supported this.
They may not have supported it, but they're still there and didn't resign. They should now. Who investigates local councillors for gross stupidity?.....Oh I forgot, it's us, the electorate. In a long history of Swanage dumbness this just adds to the feeling that there's another agenda somewhere. Who did make money out of this fiasco? Peverilpen
