Pier Head Update

***Swanage Town Council have recommended approval: On June 9th the Parish Council discussed the proposals, and without a single vote against, recommended PDC should pass the plans.
***South West Design review Panel: Purbeck District Council referred the application to the prestigious South West Design Rewiew Panel. You can read their report at:

At last! Brilliant news, and I do hope that everything goes through smoothly. Perhaps we can look forward to this much-needed development heralding a renaissance of those parts of Swanage that need it.
So how does it work with this application and the appeal for the previous plans. Is it right these plans are considered by District on 29 June .. then the appeal on the previous ones 11 July? What happens if District pass this application? Which plans are prefered?
The current application is preferred, but it is, in theory, possible both could achieve permission.
