What slice of the tourist market is Swanage actually aiming at?

Does it coincide with the people it actually attracts?

Does it coincide with what people think it should be?

Dear oh dear! I could write a book about this.

The only up to date information that I know of comes from the market research department at Bournemouth university but the figures for Purbeck are aggregated. Some better research carried out professionally is urgently needed.

I am not convinced that this is suitable for a vox pop. If the aim is to maximise net income from tourism its a technical question rather than something you can ask the public. If you get a public opinion thats different from this businesses are entitled to shout "Foul!"
