Card pumps

Doing our green bit.

Just a thought , my girlfriend and I had to drive all the way over to Sandford to fill up with fuel. Now she said would it not be a great idea to put a card fuel machine at our local garages , so you could pay by card and not have to travel so far to buy fuel. Plus when tourists come down they would not run out of fuel driving all over the place. Just a thought!

I think he's talking about unmanned petrol pumps that accept credit cards

Don't Swanage filling stations take cards?

re 8:20, yes, but then you would have to walk all the way into the shop to pay for it !

.. so you can buy petrol when the garage is closed...

You drove all the way to Sandford to buy petrol! Did you drive all the way back again too ??

Yep we did.:( My girlfriend does alot of driving and sometimes has to drive on red , to make it to a garage. Even worse when the nearest is 10 miles when all the ones in town are closed.

If David used an electric car he could charge it from the solar panel he drives his computer with !

does she drive a tank?

Good idea. Getting petrol out of hours is a long drive. The first garage to install a 24hr pump will probably do rather well.

I don't think my powermonkey charges car , thou if it did it would probably be the best charger in the world. Nah my girlfriend drives a 4x4 thou it drinks alot of fuel. And once our new born arrives she will be getting rid of it and getting a big dummy bike;) then it one less more car on the road;)

Or just be prepared and don't leave yourself short on petrol if you think you may have to drive a fair way after 10pm when the local garages shut.

I mean come on, it doesn't need a garage to install that kind of pump, just a driver to use some common sense.

We're not all so well enamoured with common sense. Shouldn't the garage cater for all humankind or just straight sensible clever types. First garage to do it gets my business.
