Wind farm

Should the proposed windfarm be placed in a position that would create less visual impact than the existing scheme? View the link above to see Dr Andrew Langley's proposal.

For information on the next phase of the consultation schedule, see: http://tinyurl.com/3z4okhf

To see Eneco's proposal and to make comments to them: http://www.navitusbaywindpark.co.uk/ [However, I couldn't find a way on their site of making any comments by email: just by phone or snail mail — presumably they want to discourage communication!]

Rainbow Kebab Licence extension

0300 LICENCE EXTENSION for the RAINBOW KEBAB on Lower High Street, (Lower High Street should be re-named ‘High High Street’ for the amount of alcohol licenses already there, when a drunk falls over he/she is still within reach of another drink!).

The two police officers on duty for Purbeck over night, if they come to Swanage and were to arrest one of the hundreds of riotous drunks the nearest custody suites are either Poole or Dorchester thereby taking up half their shift processing them ‘within their Human Rights’, (what of the Rights of Swanage Council Tax payers and residents ?) Why not have ‘holding suites/cells’ at Swanage Police Station, (if it is still there) and transport them in bulk to Poole for processing, or better still don’t grant anymore alcohol licenses or renew existing ones.

Swanage Resident.

If you agree then post a comment or better still write with your complaint to:-

LICENSING OFFICER.
CLARE STRATFORD.
PCD WESTPORT HOUSE,
WORGRET ROAD,
WAREHAM, BH20 4PPP

Or email; licensing@purbeck-dc.gov.uk

NOT LATER THAN THE 28th JULY 2011.

It will be a totally new experience for Purbeck, as an exhibition of this kind has never previously been organised in this area before.

Curator Andrew Thomas said:

“This is such a tremendous achievement for all that are involved.” “Purbeck is traditionally known for its landscape artists, but we really want to change people's perspective of what is happening here.” “There is definitely an emerging cultural art scene that will rival anything in the U.K. which is hugely positive for us.” We hope that with enough support, the Red Orb Exhibition will be an annual event.” “Leeson House is also such a unique venue, I think everyone who visits will be surprised and inspired.”
