The next Comedy Festival runs from September 22nd to 24th. The show will consist of Edinburgh Fringe Style performances on Friday 23rd September with an evening of ‘Open Mic Comedy' running in pubs in the area on Thursday 22nd September including the Bankes Arms at Corfe Castle. Performing for the first time in Swanage will be TV illusionist Ali Cook, recently seen on the new ITV Show hosted by Jonathan Ross and Penn and Teller. Also appearing on the Mowlem bill will be the highly entertaining Andrew Bird, who brings to Swanage his 'Village Fete' a one man show about village life and all it's quirks.
Harman’s Cross Village Hall offers an inclusive ticket with return train travel from Swanage or Corfe on the ‘Comedy Express’. Included in the line up is Englishman Al Barrie, Irishman Mike Smiley, perhaps best known as 'Tyres from the cult hit series “Spaced.” and Scotsman Alan Francis, TV scriptwriter, who has also picked up Channel 4's 'So You think Your Funny Award.'
