Strange Tasting Tap Water
Several people in the High Street in Herston have experienced a very strange chemical taste in their tap water today (29 Nov). Wessex Water have been contacted but are suggesting that the fault lies with tap washers, extensions, fittings or elements in kettles. None of these apply in this case. Gosh, I have tasted it too. Not your imagination. Remember Camelford, I bet the water company involved there were as dismissive to start off with. Until hair turned green and people got sick. YIKES!
Wessex Water are actually on the ball and samples are to be taken. Have been re-assured that unlikely to be anything damaging to health.
Wessex Water have now taken samples of tap water from three houses in Swanage.
I suspect something is afoot here.

I've certainly detected a stronger taste of chlorine in my (Herston) water in recent days.
Stop drinking out the swimming pool then
