Why was the posting about the Jazz Festival removed?
Jazz weekend?
7 Jul 2006 by The Postman
Am I right to deduce from the number of jazz-theme paintings in some galleries that the Jazz weekend is upon us? If anyone with any knowledge of this would care to let anyone know, please post a comment here.

um ... because the weekend has passed. Do you think it should stay up? Might that not just confuse people?
Sorry, I'm new to 'blog' and reading this site. I really am just trying to understand. Your facetious answer beginning "um..." does you no credit sir. It is talking down to someone who is asking a valid question.
Thank you for your answer. I now understand by it that when I look back at previous months they do not contain a complete record of all blogs posted.
That somehow cheapens the value of this site for me. I can understand removal of offensive or libellous matter but because an event has passed does not fall into that category. As I recall, the dates were clear in the postings and there was a link to the relevant website too.
What a shame. I no longer feel able to rely on previous postings when researching a subject.
I'm sorry if you thought I was being facetious: I didn't mean to be. I just thought it sensible to remove date-specific things when the date has passed, to avoid confusion. If I find a way to voluntarily archive 'historic' posts instead, I shall try to do that.
May I ask then why you started your reply "um ..."?
late.. tired ...fed up ...not thinking .. ruminating as I typed ...
Thank you.
