the reason is that all the idiots are parked in the loading bays, so the slow ones are therefore off of the rd. but god help us when the delivery vans come!
What this clearly shows is that the town council should move out of its Bastille into an ordinary office building and hold meetings open to the public at the Mowlem. The town hall building could be redeveloped as flats with the facade retained in order to pay for the move. Upton council operates from a humble shop demonstrating there is no need to be in a grandiose Victorian folly apart from massaging a few grandiose egos. The legal duty to make themselves accessible to the disabled provides a first rate justification as well.

Point taken, but I always thought the majority of drivers were going so slowly to prevent all the attempted suicides by the pedestrians.
Have you noticed those parents, y'know, the ones with babies n buggies - their sensible, they push the buggy out into the road first.
Hey, hey, hold on now, here's a good one.
Why have elephants got big ears?
Cuz, Noddy won't pay the ransom -ho, ho, ho, ho.
Sorry.

blast, I posted to the wrong thread! Mr Moderator, can you move the last remark to the one about council meetings.
That's even funnier now!
Pedestrianisation - if that's a word, is being considered.
i thought institue rd was all ready pedestrianised well it seems it when you try and drive down there.
Anyway, back to the point of this post.
