Out of Hours (A&E)

Here we go again.

At the Council meeting last night (30 March), a report was received from Councillor Gloyn-Cox that "the Out of Hours Project is successful but is costing too much. It is therefore at risk."

Seems as though the answer to us all living in Purbeck, is that if it costs too much, CLOSE IT DOWN eg. The recycling centre (the tip), the Day Centre, our schools, the Hospital etc, etc. I think 'they' would all be quite happy if Purbeck slipped quietly into the sea and then we would not be a financial burden on 'them' at all! Perhaps Climate Change will solve all their problems.

Perhaps we will be able to dip into the Olympic funds to survive temporarily to put on a good show for 2012, but after that will we be forgotten about again?
Depressing but, I fear, true.

It would be interesting to know what evidence was produced to support the idea that the service is 'at risk' because as far as I am aware the consultation process is still ongoing.
