Damn!

Refit 2008 - Latest at 1100 hrs Wednesday 12th November - the slipway works are nearing completion, after which the ferry chains will be re-laid across the harbour entrance and the ferry itself will be towed back into position and the chains will be re-attached. We hope to complete this by the end of next week and resume service, however this will depend very much on weather conditions and other factors which could alter the timing.

The last post is still current, and now this:

Roadworks in Sandford, starting Mon 17th

Still, nice that our local rag thinks that;

"the only way to get to Swanage has been to plough down the already-congested A351".

Hopefully good news.

The ferry is back on the slip-way, an hour ago it had one chain attached and by now hopefully both.

Tests and fettlin' tomorrow, hopefully resuming full service Fri a.m.
