Who's watching?

Does anyone know if this blog (or the one at Virtual Swanage) is read by the Mayor or any members of Swanage Town Council, the Town Clerk or Deputy Town Clerk, as a matter of policy? I seems to me that they should, in order to feel the pulse of one conduit of town thinking.

I believe the 'policy' is that if people wish to draw the Town Council's attention to something, then they need to go through the appropriate channels: either say something at any of the regular council meetings (there are usually a few each week) or write to the Town Clerk/Assistant Town Clerk.

Writing to the town clerk is a waste of time as he dosnt seem to reply to letters, even if sent via recorded deliery or hand delivered.

God forbid the councillors should be proactive.

I suspect most haven't heard about the interwebz....

....But, judging by the small number of repeat posters on this blog, they needn't worry, because half of Swanage is over the age of 55; many aren't online and hence are unaware of this blog.

The blinkered citizenry of Swanage will continue voting into office the same people, time after time after time....people who are always against new ideas for the town:

Ruling parties loathe change. It's a law of physics, or something?? And doesn't Groucho fit the part??
