Swanage Hospital Consultation
Jan Turnbull provided copies of an extract from the Helen Tucker report. Helen Tucker is working as a consultant to the Friends on this issue. Currently there is confusion about whether NHS Dorset have been consulting or engaging with the community. There is a meeting of the Dorset Health & Scrutiny committee on 14th Sept 2012 to discuss the quality of the ‘consultation’ to date. The Friends will be meeting with NHS Dorset to determine exactly the way forward at an appropriate time in the future.
Jan emailed to Kim the architects plans for developing the existing hospital site. Kim has emailed these to the STCP members.
ACTION - Jan to update at the next meeting.

One of the sites under consideration for this project is the Middle School site. Jason to present a FOI request to DCC to determine if any of the Middle school land has been passed over to the Diocese and if such a transfer were to take place then which parts of the site would be affected.
Action - Jason

7 Mowlem sub-group feedback
A copy of the sub-group’s report was circulated to the meeting and discussed.

It was also agreed that the STCP request a meeting with the Mowlem Trustees to discuss the sub-group’s findings and any further actions.
Action - AF

8 AOB
It was reported that Sainsbury’s has already agreed Heads of Lease terms with an officer working for DCC for part of the Wareham Middle School site.

It was agreed that an email should be sent to DCC’s Chief Executive to request that no DCC land is sold within Swanage or its environs without any prior consultation with STC or STCP.
Proposed – Lawrence Gloyn-Cox; Seconded – Mike Stollery and Agreed.
Action - AF
