Swanage Bay View Caravan Site

Has the "Milk Cow" run dry so quickly?
Is it true that our Council now wants to sell off the caravans they own on the Swanage Bay View site and then hand over the site to be managed by a Management Contractor on a 35 or 50 year lease?
Only last April the Mayor of Swanage, Cllr Tony Miller, stated that they were turning it into a "milk cow" for the people of Swanage. He hopes in 4 to 5 years time that it would earn "enough to do away with the Council Tax precept" He then went on to say "After many hours. in fact many days of intense scrutiny, and after considering the possibility of selling or leasing, it was decided that the best way forward would be to achieve five star rating for the park.
It seems after only six months they have given up the ghost. It seems now that by a unamimous decision they have decided to lease out the site.
This lot could not arrange a drinks party in a brewery!!

I emailed the council in mid December to find out when the minutes of the meeting would be online and I was told they have to be "approved" in the January meeting before they can be put online.

I would like to know what is happening to the other users of the complex who lease the rooms for local clubs and activities, I emailed the council with this question but havent had any reply.

Let's get this leased off ASAP. Thanks goodness we have an accountant at the helm, someone who doesn't see himself as a restaurateur, or flood and coastal defence engineer.
