Interesting exhibition of impressionist paintings of Jurassic Coast and island of Surtsey. Why paint puffins in Surtsey when we have them here near Dancing Ledge? I prefer realistic pictures like Cathy Veale's. Exhibition also had copies of the wording on the stone walls at Durlston Country Park and a picture of the local geology. Names like Eocene are meaningless to me without pictures of flora and fauna of period. There is scope for more imaginative pictures by local artists like a picture of a Martian walking along the Dorset Coast at night.

Robin, perhaps you would like to pose for this nocturnal canvas?
