Bargain Craft-Stalls Available on Swanage Pier

For the first time, in 2011, we are delighted to offer local craftsmen and women the opportunity to rent a pitch on which to display and retail their goods. The pitches are priced at £20 per day and with 130,000 visitors each year Swanage Pier offers a fabulous opportunity for local exposure and chance to reach prospective customers living, working and holidaying in the area.
If you would like a copy of our booking form and conditions please email admin@swanagepiertrust.com or contact us if you would like to arrange a visit before you make your mind up.

Available space is limited so numbers will be controlled and pitches sold on a 'first come first served basis'. All money collected in rental will go towards the pier restoration appeal.

This has been a long time coming. The trust is always asking for money, but has IMHO a poor record in attracting tennants.

Off topic, but I went down to the pier for a stroll....to find that the strolling fee is 60p - a risge of 50% from the last time I went.

What justification do they have for this? I wasn't the olny one to turn away.

50p - ok. 60p - too much.

Not only the strolling fee that's gone up. Another charity using the pier is to have a 500% rent increase without any cosultation !!

60p is good value for visiting the 2nd best pier in the uk. Of course you could always fill it with gaming machines, candy floss, rides, fish and chips, bars, night clubs etc and then they may be able to afford to let you on for free. Might spoil the ambience though?
