Library threat

It seems there is now a real threat to Swanage library. Apparently jobs are not guaranteed beyond September, which must be terrible for those working there. And not reassuring for those who enjoy using the resources. Seems like it won't actually be closed but hours may be cut even more. If you have a view, you could write to the County Councillor for Swanage, Donald Hiett (d.w.hiett@dorsetcc.gov.uk).

I was in there y'day and had a word with the staff, there are going to be Dorsetwide cutbacks but Swanage should be unnaffected.

Hmm -- word on the street is that it's unlikely to actually close, but the service may be reduced...

OK, word on the street Vs what the staff say.

I'm only betting on one.
